The Job Purpose:
The Senior Logistics Officer will be responsible for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations in support of the company’s overall goals. This position is responsible for monitoring the entire logistics process, including deliveries, inventory management, and supplier collaboration, to ensure smooth operations and adherence to high quality and timeliness requirements.
The Key Responsibilities:
- Help plan, implement, and evaluate logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency and fulfill company goals.
- To oversee and monitor logistics operations, such as delivery, inventory management, and supplier coordination, to ensure that procedures run smoothly, quality standards are met, and orders are completed on time.
- To serve as the primary escalation point for Logistics Officers, offering direction, mentorship, and leadership to ensure duties are done efficiently.
- To ensure that vehicle deliveries are accurately reconciled on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and share complete reports.
- To coordinate and discuss daily, weekly, and monthly plans with the GPS department and other appropriate teams.
- Keep accurate records by chassis number for automobiles that are and are not ready for delivery.
- To collaborate with stakeholders to handle PDI and assembly issues, achieving prompt resolutions.
- To lead operations during emergencies or in the absence of the Logistics Supervisor to ensure operational continuity.
- Collaborate with other departments to match logistical efforts with the overall company goals.
- To initiate and lead process improvement initiatives within the logistics department, as well as assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Carry out/ perform any other related tasks as assigned from time to time.
Job Qualifications:
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- A proven expertise in logistics management or a related industry.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- The excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of supply chain management and logistical operations.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
