IT Service Engineer – System Administrator
The position’s purpose is to:
- To provide first- and second-level technical assistance to guarantee that the solution operates efficiently and effectively.
- To perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support in accordance with established processes.
- Become the principal point of contact for the business unit’s internal and external clients. Maintain servers and applications; test, release, and deploy applications; support other Field Operations Technicians; and respond to technical inquiries.
The Role:
- We provide IT system administration support to our clients and operations.
- To manage systems that run applications and databases, including storage, monitoring, and backup duties.
- Implement solutions and systems with industry-standard technologies (Puppet, Nagios, Splunk).
- To perform security maintenance on the system in accordance with the company’s global policy.
- To maintain the CMDB for all IT-related objects.
- To configure and use the solution monitoring tools.
- To collaborate with global teams around the world.
- To report system health and escalate issues as appropriate.
- To maintain the DRP location and assist with SLA enforcement of the solution.
- To manage the IT vendor contracts.
- Carry out/ perform capacity planning, system patching, and backups.
The Profile:
- More than three (3+) years of system administration experience is necessary.
- The background in providing production-level services, such as data centers or client consulting services.
- The experience in operating system administration, particularly RHEL, Windows Server, and Client.
- An experienced SAN and network administrator with knowledge in provisioning, implementing, and supporting environments.
- Experienced system architectural design with emphasis on resource calculation, high availability, and security and administration complexity.
- The experience using virtualization technology (VMware).
- The LDAP, user and administrator access and management.
- Understanding of ITIL and system administration best practices.
- The RedHat Certification is strongly desirable.
- The CISCO, Automation, and Containerization certifications are advantageous.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science (or a related technical degree).
The Language skills:
- Fluent in both English and the native language.
