Job Role:
The Service Advisor’s responsibilities include developing excellent client relationships and selling technicians’ time. They greet and consult with customers about their service needs, perform a thorough vehicle walk-around inspection as part of the write-up, sell and upsell services by emphasizing value, keep customers up to date on services, field all live service calls, and take ownership of the customer’s experience by carrying out those extra tasks that allow the dealership to leave an impression with the customer. The position necessitates applicable experience, completion of technical product training, and presentation of advanced product and process knowledge.
The Job responsibilities:
- To schedule follow-up actions and enter important information into the CRM system following each customer visit to construct a call plan and ensure that the organization has quality data to support efficient customer retention and business growth operations.
- To develop and maintain good process or technical skills by taking part in assessment and development planning activities, as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
- To look for chances during service encounters to connect customer demands to other products/services provided by the firm.
- To provide detailed product/service information and answer complex consumer inquiries about the product/service.
- To develop working knowledge of the organization’s policies and processes, as well as regulatory codes and codes of conduct related to one’s own job, and follow mandated procedures to guarantee that one’s own work meets required standards.
- To respond to basic issue escalations swiftly and responsibly, and offer managerial approvals as needed.
- To interview the buyer using a complicated multi-level sales script to define their needs. And/or assist in conducting interviews with potential clients to gather client requirements and take careful notes.
- To record and process custom/special customer orders, which frequently involve confusing delivery expectations.
- To maintain and conduct periodic check-ins with important customers to ensure they get the most out of the product/service.
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent, is preferred.
