The goal of the Nature Conservancy is to save the lands and waterways that support all life. As a science-based organization, we develop practical, creative answers to the most difficult problems facing the planet in order to foster a healthy environment for both people and wildlife. Our values, which include a commitment to diversity and respect for individuals, communities, and cultures, serve as our compass and serve as our foundation. Our objective is to foster an inclusive workplace where all of our coworkers, no matter where they are in the world, have a feeling of community and their distinct contributions to our purpose are appreciated. We are aware that the only way we can fulfill our mission is by assembling and involving a diverse workforce that is representative of the areas we serve. We acknowledge that individuals have skills and experiences outside of the workplace in addition to the qualifications listed in our job postings. The secret to creativity and an inclusive culture is a diverse skill set and a strong sense of passion! We would be happy to hear from you if you applied. Many TNC employees have said that “you’ll join for our mission, and you’ll stay for our people.”

The Nature Conservancy’s goal in Africa has been to collaborate with indigenous communities across 55 million acres in order to promote a sustainable future for both people and environment since launching the Africa Program in 2007. In the nine countries where we work, we work with governments and groups to conserve and improve Africa’s common resources while relying heavily on scientific and technological know-how.

Securing indigenous people’s ownership rights to lands and resources, bolstering leadership and resource management, and assisting communities in appreciating nature through a comprehensive understanding of its benefits while boosting income streams for conservation initiatives and socioeconomic development are the three main pillars that support TNC’s work in Africa. We are seeing significant advancements in integrated land and fisheries management, ocean and source water protection, energy development, and sustainable food production alongside our partners. These developments are fortifying our resolve to address global issues like habitat and biodiversity loss, climate change, and other issues that could have a negative impact on the roughly 1.4 billion people who live in Africa.
