The Job responsibilities:

The Job Purpose:

To ensure that the earthworks, major civils, and building construction comply with the Employer’s Contract Requirements, to protect the Employer’s interest that As-Built drawings generally comply with accepted international construction norms and standards, and to assist the Project Site Execution Manager and Project Services Specialist in ensuring that quality approved construction drawings are in place and have been reviewed by the Employer.

The duties and responsibilities:

  • To develop a working connection with the Engineering and Construction Contractor so that you may form an opinion about the quality of the site work.
  • Make sure that there is no basis for an EPC time extension or a variation in cost claim wastewater engagement processes and decisions.
  • To understand the plant and resource resourcing with the Project Service Specialist, and forecast the outcome based on the wastewater schedule and quality assurance.
  • Understand the current state, risks, and variances of the execution programs for earthworks, mass concrete, piling, civils, and buildings.
  • Make sure that the above-mentioned international acceptable quality and construction procedures are met, as outlined in the Contract’s Employers Requirements, and that they are in conformity with international accepted standards.
  • To track and monitor all Witness and Hold point activities identified in collaboration with the Project Site Execution Manager, and ensure that necessary resources are promptly engaged and mobilized.
  • To access and check concrete strength test findings, and notify the Project Site Execution Manager of any non-conformances and corrective actions to be implemented.
  • Ensure that building structures are of acceptable quality and meet the Employer’s requirements. Rain run-off, storm water systems, and wastewater have all been specifically addressed.
  • To ensure that wastewater, effluent, and sewerage systems are built in such a way that they will function for the foreseeable future.
  • Ensure that the molasses bladder is constructed in accordance with OEM specifications and on time.
  • All actions at height are in conformity with the Employer’s SHERQ safety standards and regulations.
  • Make sure that the final fence meets the Employer’s Requirements and is installed professionally.
  • To promote and follow the Project Charter, rules, and guidelines, including but not limited to those relevant to SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • A Civil engineer with a master’s degree in structural engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 18 years of relevant experience on projects of comparable size or relevance.
  • An experience in design projects and other major infrastructure projects.
  • A fluent in English.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Education: A master’s degree is required, and there is no upper limit.
  • Experience: Not less than 18 years.
