We are currently searching for another team member to join us in the HQ Office as a Supply Chain Planning Specialist.

As a Supply Chain Planning Specialist at Knauf Gypsum Tanzania Limited, you will be in charge of coordinating various planning functions such as demand and supply planning, production and transportation planning, and material replenishment planning. Ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain procedures while satisfying customer demand and corporate objectives.

 

 

What you will do:

  • To collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., Plant and Sales Team) to create and maintain demand forecasting models for trading items and as input for production plans based on sales and operations planning requirements.
  • Analyze historical data and market patterns to make reliable forecasts.
    Create production schedules and plans based on demand estimates, optimizing production efficiency while minimizing costs, and coordinating with the Plant Team to meet production targets.
  • Ensure that supplies and other important things are available for manufacturing in accordance with supplier lead time, vendor limits, and transportation constraints.
  • To manage inventory levels to reduce carrying costs while fulfilling customer demand by balancing orders, demand, and material inventory data in collaboration with the Procurement and Warehousing Team.
  • To transport planning for inbound and outbound logistics, including import and export operations.
  • Determine potential future capacity restrictions and bottlenecks in the supply chain.
  • To measure, evaluate, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for planning.
  • To analyze data to uncover opportunities for improvement and cost savings.

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or a related position.
  • The experience in supply chain management and optimization concepts.
  • A strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to convert data into high-level analysis and planning.
  • The experience with process improvement and project management.
  • A proficient in supply chain planning and ERP software to facilitate planning and reporting.
  • The excellent communication abilities.
  • An accuracy and a disciplined style of operating.
  • The ability to work with self-motivation within tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in the country’s native language is preferred.
