The Job Purpose:

As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting operations in the headquarters and branches while adhering to the IT department’s framework and policies. The Systems Administrator’s responsibilities include supervising, monitoring system performance, and configuring new software and hardware. To work on escalated problems and solution requests that require attention, as well as system or software administration, network infrastructure, hardware maintenance, and scope definition. This function is crucial since this individual has a direct impact on the ability of the organization to run smoothly and continuously.

 

 

The Responsibilities and Duties:

A. IT support and system administration.

  • To implementation and maintenance of Watu systems, as well as environmental application and management.
  • Documenting system change logs and training users.
  • Be responsible for maintaining proper system backup and retention practices, as well as backup and restoration test documentation and reporting.
  • To ensure that systems are highly available, eliminating any operational downtime.
  • To complete system installations and upgrades. Installing new systems and performing upgrades as necessary. Consistently analyzing a company’s computer systems to determine whether existing components satisfy the company’s demands and performing necessary upgrades or changes.
  • The technical support and maintenance for the company’s IT equipment, including printers, scanners, and peripherals.
  • To support the local call center system and ensure proper structure, integration, and troubleshooting in the company’s call center system solution.
  • To adjust and implementing ICT policies and processes for the organization and its departments.
  • To participate in the development and maintenance of the company’s network infrastructure and endpoint security.
  • Carry out/ perform frequent HW and SW inventories and assessments of employee/department/management needs, as well as evaluating administration and user rights and conducting performance testing.
  • To work closely with the company to manage important systems projects, including budgeting, pipelining, task distribution, team alignment, follow-ups, and reports.
  • Investigate and implement new tools and systems based on department and process requirements.
  • To manage incident reporting and inquiry.
  • To working collaboratively with the IT Manager, other departments, and third parties to achieve the objectives.

 

B. General:

  • To follow the internal policies of both the company and the IT department.
  • Create/ prepare internal reports.
  • To prepare an IT system resource strategy.

 

The Key Performance Indicators:

  • Response rate: Ticket and incident response times are 100% within the SLA average.
  • 90% of system, account administration, and respective support scope tickets were resolved within the onboarding SLA average.
  • The 100% success rate with system backups. This is to ensure that data is secure and can be restored if necessary.
  • The project management entails leading, monitoring, and achieving agreed-upon deliverables within the project plan and deadline.

 

The Qualifications:

The Education Level:

  • A degree in computer science or a related field.

 

 

The Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in information technology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar system or IT administrator function.
  • A minimum of three years managing call center solutions.

 

 

The Technical skills:

  • Understanding of hardware maintenance and fixing technical and Microsoft difficulties.
  • Practical familiarity with network infrastructure and setups. Understanding of network protocols, routers, switches, and security software (firewalls, VPNs).
  • Hands-on expertise with network cabling and assembly/connection of various types of hardware.
  • A proficiency with Google products (Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Drive), including the ability to use them for analytics and task and process improvement.
  • The experience and expertise in Active Directory/MS Server.
  • Practical experience with Windows/Linux servers, cloud platforms (GPC, AWS, Azure), and virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • The understanding the technique of IT standards and the safety of software and data.
  • A proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Google Cloud products, including the ability to administer, analyze, create, and optimize processes.
  • The experience with Data Studio will be regarded advantageous.
  • The experience with project management platforms such as Jira, GitLab, Spiceworks, and others will be regarded advantageous.
