A government agency having the status of an independent department, the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) was founded especially to streamline the hiring process for public servants. The Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002, as amended by Act No. 18 of 2007, section 29(1), created the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat. Our goal is to become the region’s premier center for public service recruitment. Our goal is to recruit public workers using contemporary methods while upholding the values of merit, equity, and transparency. We also want to advise employers on employment-related issues.
In order to provide equitable public service in Tanzania, PSRS has been tasked with hiring public servants in a fair, transparent, and timely manner while monitoring and ensuring quality and access for all applicants. Human resources are an important and crucial component of public service delivery. In accordance with our policies and procedures, we seek to improve government public service on matters pertaining to the hiring process while also strengthening positive relationships with our stakeholders.
