The Stanbic Bank Tanzania is a member of the Standard Bank Group of South Africa. It was founded in May 1995 when the Standard Bank Group bought Meridien Biao Bank Tanzania Limited.

 

The Job Description:

We’re looking for a courteous and professional Teller to join our Mwanza branch. As a Teller, you will represent our bank by delivering excellent client service and accurately executing financial transactions. This position is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who appreciate working in a fast-paced workplace and are passionate about assisting customers with their banking requirements.

 

  • Process numerous financial transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
  • To verify customer identification and keep account information confidential.
  • To balance cash drawers and keep precise records of all transactions.
  • Customers should be encouraged to buy and use bank products and services.
  • To respond to consumer requests and address issues on a timely basis.
  • Adhere to all bank rules, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • To collaborate with teammates to guarantee smooth operations and a positive customer experience.
  • To assist with administrative and special initiatives as needed.

 

The Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, or a similar field.
  • A strong cash management and basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and financial software.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
  • The problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively under pressure.
  • The previous experience in banking or customer service is preferred.
  • The knowledge of banking products and services is beneficial.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • A fluency in English and Swahili is preferred.
