In order to lessen the occurrence of GBV and sextortion and to identify, document, and collect data in response to GBV and other human rights violations among women and girls,In order to lessen the stigma and discrimination that men who suffer from age-related illnesses and non-communicable diseases face, assist them in obtaining financial aid and health services

Tanzania Women Initiatives for Development Organization (TAWIDO) is a non-governmental organization that was founded and run by women in 2011 with the intention of advancing human rights, gender equality, and health among the community’s women and vulnerable girls. In order to conduct business in the Tanzanian mainland, it was registered in 2013 and acquired its compliance certificate of registration No. 00NGO/R/0169 under the NGO Act of 2002. TAWIDO promotes awareness of the rights and development opportunities available to women and vulnerable teenage girls in order to assure their growth, care, and protection. Among other things, TAWIDO manages the call center and helpline, which uses interactive voice response, SMS chart platforms, bulk SMS, and toll-free services to connect customers to a wide range of service providers across Tanzania and provide awareness, counseling, and referrals. TAWIDO has a strong track record of executing international HIV programs, providing services to populations at high risk that include prevention, ART introduction, and combating discrimination and stigma.

With funding from USAID under FHI360, TAWIDO is presently carrying out the EpiC project in Kinondoni Municipal with the goal of addressing significant gaps and bottlenecks in the response to HIV among at-risk populations.

In order to ensure the seamless execution of this project, TAWIDO is seeking dynamic, driven, experienced, and qualified candidates for the following open positions:

In addition to responding to gender-based violence (GBV) cases and directly connecting them with potential support structures, TAWIDO is seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about positively impacting the lives of women, young mothers, and children. Additionally, the organization offers counseling and guidance to victims and survivors.

 

Duty Station: Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam

Duration: 3-6 Months

 

Possible Qualifications:

  • Studied in any relevant subject, including mass communication, psychology, community development, and journalism.
  • Only graduates of the specified courses with a bachelor’s degree or diploma (and no prior job experience).
  • After you are chosen, your duties and obligations will be made explicit.
