The role’s mission is:

You would have direct accountability to the Cluster General Manager of Arusha & Zanzibar for the following duties:

  • The hotel’s operations include scheduling, organizing, managing, overseeing, and analyzing the output from each department.
  • Lead and motivate hotel teams to consistently evaluate and uphold high standards of service, quality, and productivity in their workflow.
  • Assure the seamless execution of Meliá Hotels International’s policies and procedures in accordance with the strategic plans.

What are we trying to find?

  • Two to three years’ minimum of experience in resident management or related roles.
  • Experience working in premium or five-star hotels.
  • Possess the ability to lead operations and guest focus.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations from all angles.
  • A university degree or diploma, ideally in tourism (or a related field such as hospitality and tourism studies).
  • It is preferred to have international experience.
  • Functional understanding of every department’s activities.
  • A background in F&B is preferred.
  • A drive for perfection and meticulousness.
  • Warm and lively individual.
  • Show off your talent development and HR management skills.
  • Familiarity with the IT tools utilized by hotel managers.
  • High degree of regional adaptability is ideal.
  • It is required to speak English.
  • Able to live in Tanzania’s Arusha.
